Bio

My name is Ollie Decker and I am a first year at OC. I am from San Jose, CA and I have 2 amazing parents and a twin brother. A fun fact about me is that I can moonwalk. Can you share a moment in basketball that taught you something important about yourself? There was actually a moment like this just last week during our scrimmage. We’ve been doing different rotations to see which players work best together, and I found myself getting really discouraged when I got subbed out before I’d done what I planned to do. But it reminded me that in basketball, you don’t always get the perfect moment to warm up or prove yourself. You have to be ready the second you’re on the court and make the most of every opportunity. That experience taught me to stay locked in and confident, no matter when my name gets called.

I chose OC because I wanted to be part of a school with a strong sense of community. When I visited for the first time, Coach Alyson made me feel like I was already part of the team, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made it feel like the right place for me.
