Olympic College continued its strong conference push by taking three of four from Centralia College in a Thursday–Saturday series, splitting the opening two games on the road before sweeping Saturday's doubleheader at home. The Rangers' ability to respond after an opening split and protect home field proved pivotal as they move into second place in the NWAC West Region.
The series opened Thursday in Centralia with a tightly contested opener that slipped away late. Olympic built an early lead behind runs scored by Yuji Imai and Andrew Ahn, with RBI from Dante Acacio and Dominic Hecker, but Centralia capitalized on late opportunities to edge the Rangers 4–3. Jameson Connolly worked five innings on the mound, and Seamus Gallagher provided three scoreless frames in relief to keep Olympic within striking distance.
Olympic responded in the second game Thursday with one of its most complete performances of conference play. The Rangers erupted for nine runs on ten hits, getting contributions throughout the lineup as Tegan Jenkins, Andrew Ahn, Yuji Imai, Jameson Connolly, Josiah Gooding, Dominic Hecker, and Dominic Kaptur all drove in runs. Silas Stenerson anchored the game with a dominant complete‑game effort, striking out 10 and allowing just two runs to even the series heading into Saturday.
Saturday's opener at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds belonged to Olympic from the early innings on. Ryan Hartnett and Seamus Brown each drove in two runs as the Rangers built a lead and never looked back, taking a 6–2 win. Ethan Staples delivered a strong start, allowing just one run over six innings, and the bullpen closed the door to give Olympic the series advantage.
The Rangers completed the series win with a shutout in the finale, blanking Centralia 3–0 behind outstanding pitching and timely offense. Bass Frye set the tone with six scoreless innings and 11 strikeouts, and the bullpen followed suit to preserve the shutout. Yuji Imai continued his productive week with a key double, while Tegan Jenkins and Seamus Brown each drove in runs as Olympic secured its third win in four games.
Beyond the series results, individual performances continue to elevate Olympic's profile across the conference. Imai now leads the NWAC in doubles, providing consistent extra‑base production at the top of the lineup, while Stenerson has emerged as one of the league's most dependable arms. He currently leads the conference in innings pitched at 56.1 and is tied for the league lead with six wins, anchoring the Rangers' rotation through the heart of conference play.
With the series win, Olympic moves into second place in the NWAC West Region and enters a conference bye week carrying momentum. The Rangers will stay active by hosting a non‑conference doubleheader against Mt. Hood College this Saturday at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds, the new home of Ranger baseball. First pitch is scheduled for noon, with game two set to follow at approximately 3 p.m., as Olympic looks to maintain rhythm and sharpness heading into the next stretch of conference play.
