Rangers Shine at Linfield Open with 10 PRs, NWAC Gains, and Championship Momentum

Olympic College Track & Field team had an outstanding performance this weekend at the Linfield Open, continuing the program's strong momentum heading into the championship portion of the season. The Rangers recorded 10 personal records (PRs) during the meet, while multiple athletes improved their standing in the NWAC rankings.
One of the top performances of the meet came from Nashayla Fellows in the women's shot put. Fellows moved into 2nd place in the NWAC with a throw of 43'1", putting her just five inches away from breaking the Olympic College school record of 43'6". Her performance continues to establish her as one of the top throwers in the conference heading into championships.
Noah Ring also delivered a major performance for the Rangers, officially qualifying for the NWAC Championships in the men's 200m after achieving the conference qualifying standard.
On the sprint side, LaQuinta Curtis made one of the biggest jumps in the NWAC rankings this week. Entering the meet, Curtis was ranked 8th in the 100m and 14th in the 200m. Following her performances at Linfield, she has now moved up to 5th in the NWAC in the 100m and 8th in the 200m, showing significant progress at the right point in the season.
With the NWAC Championships now just three weeks away, Olympic College athletes are continuing to compete at a high level and position themselves for strong championship performances. The team's growth, competitiveness, and consistency continue to improve each week as the Rangers prepare for NWAC Championships.
