Colin Cavanagh finishes top 10 at NWAC Fall Match

Sophomore Colin Cavanagh (Wilson HS / Tacoma) recorded his first collegiate top ten finish, shooting a 75 in the NWAC Fall match.  Grays Harbor College hosted the 36-hole tournament at the Olympia Country Club.  The 2-day event was shortened to one round of 18 holes because of weather.  "This was a very impressive effort by Colin considering he had to withdraw from his last match because of back issues," stated head coach Bjorn Bjorke.  Assistant Coach Craig Larson was following Colin throughout the day shared that, "Colin was very steady and never really got himself into trouble.  His ball striking was excellent and he was reading the greens really well." 

Coach Bjorke looks forward to similar results come spring, "This should provide Colin with motivation to keep working hard over the break in anticipation for the spring season."

The team opens their season on April 5th at Columbia Basin College in Richland, WA.
