Rangers Honor Seven Sophomores, Battle to the Wire vs. Peninsula; Finale Wednesday at Edmonds
Olympic College went toe‑to‑toe with Peninsula on Sophomore Day before falling 94–88 in a high‑tempo matchup that saw the Rangers trade runs with one of the North's hottest teams. Olympic trailed by just one at halftime, then kept it within a couple of possessions well into the closing minutes as the pace ratcheted up in the second half.
Honored Sophomore Guard D'Angelo Moore caught fire and poured in 34 points, attacking downhill, stretching the floor, and sparking multiple second‑half surges. Tyler Adams added a key scoring punch with 16 points, giving the Rangers another reliable option when they needed buckets in traffic and at the line. The supporting cast chipped in timely plays on both ends to keep momentum alive throughout the night.
Thank You, Sophomores
Before tip, the program honored seven second‑year Rangers whose leadership and daily standard have shaped the locker room over the past two seasons: D'Angelo Moore, Nathaniel Campbell, Eric Woods, Jazel Brown, Evan Solomon, Eli Kraft, and Daniel Almaraz. From early‑morning lifts to late‑game huddles, this class modeled how to compete and represent Olympic. Their legacy is the foundation they leave for the next wave—and the example of composure they set in tight games like today's.
What's Next
The Rangers close the regular season Wednesday at Edmonds, aiming to finish on the front foot and send the sophomores out with one more performance to be proud of. There's no postseason this year, but the strides under first‑year leadership—and the emergence of multiple scoring options—set a clear direction for the program heading into the offseason.
