The Olympic College men's basketball team hosted the Olympic Crossover this weekend, welcoming Walla Walla College, Pierce College, and Clark College to Bremerton for three days of competitive early-season action. The Rangers finished the event with a 1–2 record, closing the tournament on a high note with a convincing win over Pierce. Walla Walla emerged as the tournament's lone unbeaten team, winning all three of its games.
Olympic opened the weekend Friday night against Walla Walla in a fast-paced, physical matchup that featured strong offensive execution on both sides. Nathaniel Campbell led the Rangers with 17 points, while Tyler Adams provided an immediate spark off the bench with 13 points on efficient shooting. Olympic battled in the paint and received a significant lift from its bench, but Walla Walla's early shooting rhythm allowed the visitors to build separation despite a strong second-half push by the Rangers.
Saturday's contest against Clark followed a similar script, with Olympic keeping the game tight early before Clark pulled away late in a 91–84 decision. Reece Rheinschmidt turned in a strong all-around performance, scoring 19 points and pulling down eight rebounds, while Nathaniel Campbell added 13 points and four assists. Olympic shot over 54 percent in the second half and continued to get meaningful contributions from the bench, but Clark's efficiency inside down the stretch proved to be the difference.
The Rangers responded on Sunday with their most complete performance of the weekend, pulling away in the second half for an 86–70 win over Pierce in the tournament finale. Reece Rheinschmidt led the way with 25 points, while Nathaniel Campbell delivered one of his best all-around performances, finishing with 21 points and nine assists. Tyler Adams recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds as Olympic controlled the paint, shared the ball effectively, and turned defensive stops into scoring opportunities.
Despite the two losses, the Olympic Crossover provided valuable experience against quality competition and highlighted continued growth across the roster. With strong interior play, improved ball movement, and consistent bench contributions, the Rangers closed the weekend with momentum and clear signs of progress as they move deeper into the season.
Next up, the Rangers return home on Monday, December 16, at 5:30 p.m. to face Palm Beach State College, the No. 1 nationally ranked Division II junior college in the country. Ranger Nation is encouraged to pack the gym and bring the energy for a marquee matchup in Bremerton.
