Olympic College closed out the 2026 season on a meaningful note both on and off the field, honoring its sophomore class before taking three of four games from Grays Harbor to finish 19–29 overall and 10–14 in NWAC West Region play, narrowly missing a playoff berth by just two games behind fourth‑place Clark.
Prior to game one, the Rangers celebrated Sophomore Day, recognizing nine student‑athletes for their contributions to the program. Each sophomore was presented with a framed photo, while their families received flowers in a pregame ceremony. Honored were Yuji Imai, Seamus Gallagher, Silas Stenerson, Dante Acacio, Andrew Ahn, Dominic Hecker, Nathan Burke, Seamus Brown, and Iain Loverink, a group that helped define the team's leadership and competitiveness throughout the season.
The series opened at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds with a setback, as Grays Harbor used a 12‑hit performance and a complete‑game shutout on the mound to claim a 6–0 win. Olympic managed four hits in the game, with Dominic Hecker, Dante Acacio, Ryan Hartnett, and Yuji Imai each collecting one, but was unable to generate sustained offense. Silas Stenerson struck out five over five innings in the start as the Rangers looked to regroup moving into game two.
Olympic responded with one of its most complete efforts of the season in the second game, rolling to a 10–3 victory behind a balanced offensive attack and strong pitching. The Rangers broke the game open with a five‑run fifth inning, with Dominic Kaptur and Dante Acacio each driving in two runs. Andrew Ahn reached base three times and scored three runs, while Tegan Jenkins added two hits in the win. On the mound, Jameson Connolly set the tone with five strong innings, allowing just one run as Olympic evened the series.
The momentum carried over into Saturday, where Olympic edged Grays Harbor 6–5 in a tightly contested game. The Rangers jumped out early with a five‑run first inning and held on behind strong pitching down the stretch. Yuji Imai delivered a key two‑RBI performance, while Dominic Hecker and Dante Acacio added run‑producing hits. Ryan Hartnett contributed two hits as part of a timely offensive effort. On the mound, Ethan Staples earned the win with six innings of work, and Wyatt Robinson secured the final nine outs with eight strikeouts to preserve the victory.
Olympic completed the series win with a 9–4 victory in the finale, using consistent offense to control the game throughout. The Rangers scored in five different innings, highlighted by a three‑run seventh that created separation. Yuji Imai led the way with a two‑hit performance and crossed the plate three times, while Ryan Hartnett drove in two runs and Nolan Bayne added multiple hits. Olympic totaled 11 hits in the win and leaned on a combination of arms out of the bullpen to close out the game.
With the series victory, the Rangers finished the season winning three of their final four games and continuing to show growth across the lineup and pitching staff. Despite the strong finish, Olympic fell just short of a postseason appearance, ending two games back of a playoff position in the NWAC West. The late surge and the leadership of the sophomore class provided a fitting close to the season and a strong foundation as the program looks ahead to the future.
