From Gillette, Wyoming to the heart of the lineup, Dominic Hecker has been the catalyst behind a red-hot stretch this spring. The Thunder Basin High School product put together a monster April, hitting north of .400 while anchoring the infield as a standout defensive shortstop. More than just numbers, Hecker's presence has sparked the team on both sides of the ball—setting the tone with his energy, consistency, and leadership. As one of the program's undeniable leaders, Hecker has turned a strong month into a statement, earning April Athlete of the Month honors. We sat down with him to try to learn from his successes.
What does being named Athlete of the Month mean to you personally and as a member of the Olympic College athletics community?

The Centralia series (which included 7 hits, including 4 doubles)
How have your coaches and teammates helped you grow or succeed this season?
